Nizhny Novgorod residents were informed about the progress of road repairs under the national project.
June 16, 2026 18:34 Society The Mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev, checked the progress of work on road projects that are being organized this year under the national project "Infrastructure for Life." According to the city leader, he is carefully studying the reports from contractors, and so far there are no complaints about the work schedules. As part of the national project, this season, the renewal of seven sections of urban highways is planned, as well as the major repair of the Myza Bridge. To date, its readiness reaches 85%. Currently, the main work is being carried out under the structure—specialists are completing the repair and reinforcement of the beams. The repair on Kuzbasskaya Street under a contract carried over from last year is nearly complete. Here, the contractor reports 94% of the planned volume has been completed. On Karl Marx Street, work is one-third done, while on Udmurt and Novikov-Priboy Streets, readiness is about 20%. On Zvezdinka, contractors are milling the old surface and replacing manhole covers. Road work on Kazan Highway and Ryabtseva Street is planned to begin soon. It was previously reported that the traffic scheme was changed on the new Borsky Bridge.
