Family screening was conducted in two clinics in Nizhny Novgorod.

On June 9, 2026, at 10:50 AM, the Society in Nizhny Novgorod joined the Children's Health Preservation Week with the city clinic No. 30 and children's clinic No. 39 of the Soviet district. The medical institutions organized a joint event during which families could undergo a comprehensive medical examination in one day, the regional health ministry reported.

The chief freelance pediatric specialist in medical prevention, chief physician of children's clinic No. 39, Inna Kondratieva, emphasized that preventive examinations help identify diseases at early stages.

"During the event, about 60 children were examined. Pathologies are often identified at an early age that can progress with time. Early detection allows doctors to prescribe corrective treatment, establish an optimal daily routine and diet, and provide parents with consultations from specialists," she explained.

Parents will be able to receive examination results on the State Services portal and discuss them with a doctor during a telemedicine consultation via the "Max" messenger. All identified cases will be placed under dispensary observation.

On the same day, adults—parents, grandmothers, and grandfathers—were examined at the health center of clinic No. 30. The chief physician of the institution, Lyubov Trefilova, noted that patients underwent bioimpedance analysis and anthropometry, receiving data on the ratio of muscle and fat mass, metabolic rate, and body water content, which helps to correct lifestyle choices.

The regional health ministry reported that starting from August 2026, "Family Days" will be held monthly at these clinics.

Preventive examinations for citizens over 18 can be conducted annually, while dispensary check-ups are available once every three years for people aged 18-39 and annually for those over 40. For men and women aged 18 to 49, examinations for reproductive health assessment are also available.

The organization of such events is part of the national project "Long and Active Life," launched in 2025 at the request of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Earlier, we reported that new formats of dispensary check-ups are being implemented in the Nizhny Novgorod region. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
