Evgeny Lyulin: The medicine of Dzerzhinsk should not lag behind the pace of its development.

On June 9, 2026, at 12:50, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Evgeny Lyulin, visited medical institutions in Dzerzhinsk — the emergency medical care hospital, the Dzerzhinsk Veterans Hospital named after A.M. Samarin, and the city children's hospital No. 8.

Following the visit, the speaker of the regional parliament reported that he discussed the state of the city's healthcare system with the chief doctors, deputies of the ZSNO and the city Duma, as well as specialists from the regional health ministry. The discussion was prompted by over 300 complaints and requests from patients related to difficulties in making appointments, long waiting times, and a shortage of tickets.

According to Evgeny Lyulin, qualified specialists work in the city's medical institutions and modern equipment is used; however, organizational issues persist.

Particular attention was paid to the work of the BSMU. As the speaker of the Legislative Assembly noted, BSMU medical staff provide emergency assistance to hundreds of patients daily and perform complex surgeries. At the same time, about 300 people visit the institution's emergency department every day.

During the discussion, issues of patient routing through the "Portal 52," distribution of workload among medical organizations, and attracting young specialists to the healthcare system were considered. The chairman of the regional parliament, Evgeny Lyulin, was also shown the operating room at BSMU, where a new angiograph is planned to be installed by the end of the year for performing complex cardiovascular surgeries.

At the same time, the speaker drew attention to the condition of the medical institutions' buildings. In particular, children's hospital No. 8 requires repairs in certain rooms, as well as the replacement of engineering communications. Similar problems, according to him, exist in the Veterans Hospital named after Samarin, where several departments are awaiting repairs.

Evgeny Lyulin emphasized that the heads of the institutions are trying to maintain the hospitals in proper condition, but many issues require comprehensive solutions.

"Dzerzhinsk is developing rapidly, and medicine must not lag behind its pace," stated the chairman of the Legislative Assembly.

He also noted that in the future, the need for medical assistance and rehabilitation for participants of the SVO, as well as specialists coming to work at enterprises in the special economic zone "Kulibin," will increase.
