Denis Ismagilov has been appointed as the acting deputy chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod government.

      June 8, 2026 19:35 Politics Governor Gleb Nikitin appointed Denis Ismagilov as acting Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Since 2021, Ismagilov has headed the Ministry of Economic Development. In his new position, he will coordinate issues of state and municipal control, as well as oversee the work of the State Housing Inspection, the inspection for monitoring the technical condition of self-propelled machines, and the management of state protection of cultural heritage sites. The press service of the regional government noted that Ismagilov graduated from Kazan Federal University with a degree in "International Relations" and from RANEPA with a degree in "Economics." He has worked in the structures of Tatarstan and Moscow, and since 2018 has held various positions in the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Recall that in May, the head of the region changed the structure of the government. The main change was the creation of the Ministry for the Protection of Objects of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, which is overseen by Deputy Governor Sergey Polovnikov (appointed in March 2026).
