74 Nizhny Novgorod children have been injured in traffic accidents since the beginning of the year: statistics by districts

      June 9, 2026 10:17 Incidents Since the beginning of 2026, there have been 68 traffic accidents involving minors in Nizhny Novgorod. As a result of these accidents, 74 children sustained injuries of varying severity. This statistic was reported by the press service of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. The highest number of accidents involving children occurred in Avtozavod — 19 accidents, in which 22 children were injured. In the Nizhny Novgorod district, 14 such accidents were recorded, resulting in injuries to 18 children. In Sormovo, there were 13 accidents involving minors, with 19 people injured. In the Prioksky district, 12 children were injured. In the Lenin, Moscow, and Soviet districts, four similar accidents were registered — a total of 15 minors were injured here. In Kanavino, three children were injured as a result of accidents. According to the regional State Traffic Inspectorate, another eight children were injured due to their own negligence.
