730 meters remain for the metro shield "Yevdokiya" to travel in Nizhny Novgorod.

      On June 9, 2026, 12:10 Society Metro builders revealed the route that the Nizhny Novgorod metro shield "Yevdokiya" will take. Details were published on the MAX channel "Metro NN - Our. New."

      The tunnel boring complex will start from the "Gorkovskaya" station and will pass under Maxim Gorky Street towards Freedom Square. The complex will excavate the left tunnel section.

      The total length of the section will be 730 meters. During this time, builders will need to install 485 rings of high-precision reinforced concrete lining.

      Recall that "Yevdokiya" was launched on May 28 as part of the project to extend the Nizhny Novgorod metro. It is expected that after the commissioning of the new stations "Sennaya" and "Freedom Square," the passenger flow in the hilly part of the city will reach 12.5 million people per year.

      The work is being carried out under the national project "Infrastructure for Life," initiated by the President of Russia, as well as within the framework of the people's program of "United Russia."
