2.6 billion rubles are being recovered from a Nizhny Novgorod agricultural enterprise for environmental damage.

      On June 9, 2026, 12:41 Society The Nizhny Novgorod agricultural enterprise JSC "Rumjantsevskoye" in the Dalnekonstantinovsky district was ordered to pay more than 2.6 million rubles in debt for environmental damage. This was reported by the regional office of Rosprirodnadzor. According to the agency, the company underpaid for the negative impact on the environment for the years 2022-2024. Violations were identified during the inspection of the declaration for the payment of NVOOS. As explained by Rosprirodnadzor, the enterprise, when calculating the payment for waste placement at the landfill of LLC "Real-Kstovo," zeroed out the charges, believing that the facility did not have a negative impact on the environment. The agency disagreed with this position and filed a lawsuit. The Arbitration Court of the Nizhny Novgorod region supported the demands of the supervisory authority. The company was also charged more than 685 thousand rubles in penalties for late payment. It was previously reported that more than 5.8 million rubles in debt are being collected from the Semyonovsky water utility for environmental damage.
