At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a project for free running centers for Russians was presented by Maria Petrova.

According to Pyotr Fradkov, the running centers will provide people with modern conditions for regular sports activities. In addition, with the help of rapidly erected structures, the construction of one facility takes only 4 to 5 months. The centers will be equipped with changing rooms, showers, and everything necessary for comfortable training. Running tracks, workout areas, and spaces for family recreation will be located near the buildings. There will be training sessions, amateur starts, master classes, as well as city and family sports events. First of all, running centers will appear in cities where active running communities have already formed and there is a lack of modern sports infrastructure. Among such places, there are already at least 20 cities in Russia, including Nizhny Novgorod. The first visitors to the running centers are planned to be welcomed this fall. At the same time, a digital application will be launched that will unite sports enthusiasts across the country.
