On May 20, the young man drove drunk in his Mercedes-Benz SL convertible and caused a mass traffic accident on the Pokhvalinsky exit. Fortunately, there were no injuries. After the incident, the perpetrator went to a restaurant, where he continued to drink alcohol with a friend. He recorded a video in which he stated that "the rich do not die." Addressing social media users who condemned him for driving under the influence, he said: "Poverty, please don't be offended that you can't afford such a car. Everything is fine, everything is good, thank you. No one was hurt, no one is responsible. This is Russia." Four administrative offenses were filed against Kornilov Jr. The police also reported that since the beginning of 2025, 161 administrative materials have been registered against him, 51 for evading administrative punishment. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the driver of the "Mercedes" faces a license suspension for 2.5 years, as well as a fine of over 55,000 rubles.
