The rules for the disposal of waste from mobile toilets will be approved in Nizhny Novgorod.

      On May 19, 2026, at 19:17 Society In Nizhny Novgorod, plans are underway to establish a regulatory framework for the disposal of liquid household waste from mobile toilet cabins. The corresponding provision has been included in the draft of new landscaping rules, which was reviewed by the city council's commission on municipal economy on May 19, reports NIA "Nizhny Novgorod." The document has been prepared in connection with the merger of Nizhny Novgorod and the Kstovo district. The new rules will set unified requirements for the maintenance of the territory within the boundaries of the updated urban district. As noted by the head of the legal department of the city council, Irina Maslova, the project includes specific but important changes. Thus, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs operating mobile toilets without connection to water supply and sewage networks will be required to ensure timely waste disposal. Pumping must be carried out when the tank is filled to no more than 2/3 of its volume: at least once a day when the air temperature is +5 degrees and above, and at least once every three days at lower temperatures.
