The infectious disease department and the infectious disease office have been completely renovated at the Pilninskaya Central District Hospital.

      Work was carried out as part of the national project "Sustained and Active Life".

      The Pilnyin Central District Hospital has completed a large-scale modernization of the infectious diseases department and the infectious diseases office. The work was conducted within the framework of the national project "Sustained and Active Life" and the regional program for the modernization of primary healthcare. A total of about 20.5 million rubles was allocated for these purposes from the federal and regional budgets.

      During the major renovation, builders completely transformed the entrance groups and the unheated transitional gallery, as well as equipped a convenient ramp for the safe hospitalization of patients with limited mobility and severe conditions.

      All key engineering systems were replaced in the building: heating, electricity, water supply, sewage, fire alarm, and oxygen supply system. Special attention was paid to creating a safe air environment - the old ventilation was replaced with an autonomous supply and exhaust system with mechanical stimulation. Each of the seven double rooms was equipped with a separate exhaust system with air purification and microclimate control functions, completely eliminating the risks of cross-infection.

      According to the chief physician of the Pilnyin Central District Hospital, Lyubov Blinova, comfort and safety for patients became the main guidelines in designing the internal space. All rooms have isolated entrances from the street and from the corridor, their own bathrooms with a shower and toilet, sluice windows for contactless food and medicine transfer, as well as bactericidal irradiators and household refrigerators.

      The interiors of the department were designed in calm pastel colors - this solution creates a sense of coziness and contributes to the psycho-emotional comfort of patients and medical staff.

      For the updated premises, modern medical equipment and furniture were purchased using funds from the compulsory health insurance and the hospital's own funds. New functional beds were also purchased from the regional budget.

      "It was important for us to move away from outdated layouts and create a space where patient comfort is combined with strict requirements for infection safety. The modern rooms with separate entrances and autonomous ventilation now allow us to work without the risk of cross-infection. But there is also another effect that both patients and staff note: as soon as you enter these bright walls, your mood really changes! And a good mood is, as we know, one of the first steps to a quick recovery," said Lyubov Blinova.

      Let us remind you that the national project "Sustained and Active Life" has been implemented in the country since 2025 by the order of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. It includes 11 federal projects: "Health for Everyone," "Modernization of Primary Healthcare," "Medical Personnel," "Fighting Cardiovascular Diseases," "Fighting Cancer," "Fighting Diabetes," "Fighting Hepatitis and Minimizing the Risks of Disease Spread," "Improving Emergency Medical Care," "Developing Federal Medical Organizations, including the Development of a Network of National Research Centers," "National Platform 'Health'," "Optimal Medical Rehabilitation for Health Recovery."
