The practice of cable cars has begun in Nizhny Novgorod.

      In Nizhny Novgorod, the practical stage of training specialists for the operation of cable cars has begun. Students from the Bor Governorate College became acquainted with the operation of the functioning Nizhny Novgorod cable car. The classes were held with the participation of specialists from UrbanTech Service LLC. The excursion began with a safety briefing. Then, the students participated in production processes in the machine room, studied the operation of the main systems of the cable car, and inspected the boarding and disembarking areas for passengers. This format of training is related to the growing demand for qualified workers. According to forecasts from the World Economic Forum, by 2030, the demand for specialists in working professions will increase, including in the field of cable transport systems operation. For the Nizhny Novgorod region, this direction is strategically important. A new cable car is planned to be built across the Oka River in Nizhny Novgorod, and the training of personnel is aimed at ensuring its operation. The director of the Bor Governorate College, Alexey Volkov, noted that practical classes allow students to acquire the necessary professional competencies. The general director of UrbanTech Service LLC, Alexey Chudaev, emphasized that student participation in the operation of a functioning facility contributes to the formation of a personnel reserve for the industry. Earlier, a partnership agreement was concluded between UrbanTech Service LLC and the Bor Governorate College. Training is conducted in the areas of "electromechanic" and "cable car and funicular maintenance technician." Graduates receive a state-standard certificate and priority employment rights. The chairman of the Legislative Assembly's budget and tax committee, member of the United Russia faction, Alexander Sharonov, noted that practice helps consolidate the acquired knowledge and ensure the safety of cable car operation. Since 2025, a national project "Youth and Children," aimed at supporting talented youth and young specialists, has been in effect in Russia by order of President Vladimir Putin. It includes federal projects such as "Russia - a Land of Opportunities," "We Are Together," "Russia in the World," "All the Best for Children," "Leading Schools," "Teachers and Mentors," "Creating a Network of Modern Campuses," "Universities for the Generation of Leaders," and "Professionalism."
