Gleb Nikitin proposed three directions for the People's Program of "United Russia."

      May 12, 2026 14:16 Politics The Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region and Secretary of the regional branch of "United Russia," Gleb Nikitin, named three areas that, in his opinion, should be included in the party's People's Program. He announced this in the MAX channel. The collection of initiatives from residents continues, and in this regard, he voiced his own top-3 proposals. The first priority named by the governor was demographics. According to him, it is important to create financial, housing, and moral-psychological conditions so that families can confidently make decisions about having and raising children, as well as consistently implement the family policy of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The "Foundation" project is already in operation in the region, and some of its solutions can be scaled to the federal level. The second area is support for participants of the Special Military Operation (SMO) and their families. This refers to assistance in returning to civilian life, caring for health, and opportunities for further self-realization.

      "Of course, this is already a priority area of work: we have a military social contract with dozens of support measures, the 'Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region' project for those ready to dedicate themselves to civil service, and 'MY Business' for veteran entrepreneurs. Nevertheless, in the coming years, even more solutions and resources will be needed in this area, and a significant section of the People's Program of 'United Russia' should be dedicated to it," noted the governor.

      The third point he identified was the implementation of updated national projects within the framework of the Decade of Science and Technology.

      "Our region is an industrial processing region; we create not raw materials but high-value products. Federal support measures for national projects focused on the economy are very important for our enterprises, especially in the context of the accumulated effect of the financial regulator's policy of 'cooling the economy,'" added Nikitin.
