      The acceptance of applications for the annual national award for journalists "Fincor" has begun. The award is being held for the fifth time. Its goal is to identify the best materials on economic and financial topics. Journalists, editorial teams of Russian radio and television programs, authors and hosts of podcasts, online channels not banned in Russia, and students from relevant faculties of Russian universities are invited to participate. This year, works will be evaluated in nine nominations. A new category has been added to the permanent sections of the award - "Stock Market 2.0". Works published from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026, will be accepted for the competition. No more than one application can be submitted per nomination from an author or author collective. The deadline for applications is until August 7, 2026. "The new nomination of the award is a logical continuation of the work of the Ministry of Finance of Russia aimed at increasing the capitalization of the stock market and increasing the share of long-term savings of citizens. Financial instruments have already been created that help effectively save for various goals, and the necessary infrastructure has been prepared. An important aspect of ensuring the growth of the stock market development indicators is the formation of its image and increasing citizens' trust in financial instruments. Journalists play one of the key roles in this matter: they help to convey information to people in an accessible and objective manner," noted Ivan Chebeskov, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation.
