Beeline and "LizaAlert": a year of the "Geosearch" service
April 29, 2026 11:24 Society Beeline and the volunteer search and rescue team "LisaAlert" summarize the results of the first year of the innovative service "Geosearch." The technology, which allows for the transmission of accurate coordinates of a missing person's mobile device directly into the hands of rescuers within minutes, has proven its effectiveness: during the service's operation, 62 requests were received, and 8 people were rescued thanks to the prompt receipt of geodata.
The life-saving technology: a pilot project that allows rescuers to receive the geolocation of a missing person if the SIM card is registered to their relative and the relative makes a request to the operator for coordinate determination was launched in April 2025. The second phase of the service, where Beeline subscribers can pre-consent to the transmission of geodata from their mobile device in the mobile application in case of an emergency, started in October 2025. This option has already been activated by more than 27,000 people.
"Geosearch with LisaAlert" is essentially life insurance. A new safety culture, where the subscriber's mobile device works for their rescue in an emergency situation—when help is needed, and a search operation is declared. Previously, requests for coordinates of the missing took several days—legally, a court decision was required. Pre-consent for data transmission in the mobile application resolves the legal conflict—the right of a person to receive help is ensured by the ability to legally transmit coordinates to rescuers.
The accuracy of location determination depends on the terrain: in urban environments, it is 50-100 meters, in natural settings—up to 1000 meters. The data storage architecture is completely secure, and consent can be revoked with one click. This is free of charge.
Beeline, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia, is consistently working on updating regulatory requirements to enhance the efficiency of searching for people and exchanging information among participants. For saving lives, it is crucial that rescuers gain access to geolocation in emergency situations without unnecessary bureaucratic delays.
Sergey Anokhin, General Director of Beeline:
"2025 was an important milestone in our long-term cooperation with 'LisaAlert.' We implemented new joint projects, launched important and necessary legislative initiatives, and significantly strengthened technological support for the team—from geosearch services and specialized equipment to solutions based on Big Data and AI that help accelerate searches and involve more people. For us, this is a vital partnership that underscores our contribution and responsibility as a technology company: we create solutions that work in critical situations when human life is at stake, and every minute counts. Our collaboration with 'LisaAlert' is also an example and a signal to other companies on how to be an even more useful member of society and truly address social issues that matter to people together."
Grigory Sergeev, Head of the PSO "LisaAlert":
"During the team's operation, we have consistently drawn the attention of the government and the public to the issues of updating the legislative framework regarding geodata to fully utilize modern technologies for saving lives. Together with Beeline, we are already sharing our expertise with other telecom operators to implement similar solutions; it is very important that this mechanism works across the entire market and becomes available to all mobile operator subscribers. Together, we will shape a new safety culture: it is important for people to show awareness and pre-consent in the application so that if something happens, search teams can come to the rescue."
On April 22, 2026, the project was awarded the largest marketing award "E+ Awards 2026" for its contribution to the development of social technologies. Beeline and "LisaAlert" received gold in the "Impact. Brands" category. The NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
