      The governor noted that many Western countries have lived by the logic of the "golden billion," and their current policies are a direct continuation of this philosophy. He described Russia's ideology as directly opposite.

      In the interview, Nikitin mentioned that a regional program was created, as it was decided to introduce a parental basic income. The governor also shared plans for the development of low-rise construction in the context of demographic policy.

      One of the key topics was the work of healthcare institutions with pregnant women. "Many acquaintances still face monstrous situations where a woman is offered to have an abortion at the clinic's doorstep. For example: a woman becomes pregnant at 42 years old, this is a long-awaited child, and she and her husband have been trying for more than 10 years. The future mother comes to the doctor, and the first thing she hears is an offer to have an abortion. This is unacceptable!" the governor said.

      He emphasized that the government has much more to do in the field of demographic policy to change the residents' attitudes towards family creation and childbirth.
