Data on vaccinations of Nizhny Novgorod residents will be collected in the federal register.
April 4, 2026 10:40 Society The Ministry of Health of Russia plans to launch a federal register with data on citizens' vaccinations. The corresponding draft government resolution has been posted on the portal of regulatory legal acts. The database will reflect information about vaccinations that have been administered and those that are planned. It will also include data on citizens with post-vaccination complications, people with medical contraindications, and those who refused vaccination without such contraindications. As explained by the Ministry of Health, the register is being created for the analysis of immunization effectiveness, planning future vaccination campaigns, and assessing the performance of regions in this area. It is planned that the register will start operating on September 1, 2028, as part of the Unified State Information System in the field of healthcare (EGISZ). The agency notes that entering information will not require an increase in staff, the purchase of new equipment, or significant time expenditures, as the register will operate on the basis of the already existing infrastructure. Medical organizations in the state, municipal, and private healthcare systems will need to connect to the system to transmit data. It was previously reported that residents of Nizhny Novgorod over 65 years old are offered free vaccination against pneumococcus. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
