Two Nizhny Novgorod residents died in the hospital after horrific car accidents in March.

      March 25, 2026 11:01 Incidents Two residents of Nizhny Novgorod died in the hospital after horrific traffic accidents that occurred in the regional center in March. This was reported by the traffic safety promotion department of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Nizhny Novgorod.

      One accident occurred on the afternoon of March 11 on Kuzbass Street. The driver of a VAZ ran a red light and hit a pedestrian on the "zebra." The man sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. He soon died there.

      Another accident happened on the afternoon of March 19 on Larin Street, 2b. The driver of a Lada Largus lost control and crashed into a lamp post, then collided with a parked car and a pedestrian at the edge of the roadway. A 76-year-old man was hospitalized. Doctors fought for his life, but in vain. He passed away.
