Exchange with "Severstal"

      The attack line of Nizhny Novgorod's "Torpedo" has been strengthened by 20-year-old forward Timur Mukhanov from "Severstal." In exchange, forward Ilya Chefanov and defender Nikita Beresnev from "Chaika" have moved to the Cherepovets team. Despite his young age by hockey standards, Timur Mukhanov is already a fairly experienced player at the KHL level. He made his debut in the main league of the continent at the age of 18, and he did it quite productively, soon winning the title of Rookie of the Month. To date, the forward has played 155 games in the KHL, earning 34 (11+23) points. Timur also has important experience in high-level cup battles. He became a bronze and silver medalist of the MHL Championship and reached the finals of the Kharlamov Cup with the "Omsk Hawks," where his team fought for the title against Nizhny Novgorod's "Chaika." As part of the Russian national team, Mukhanov won a bronze medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival. His abilities were also recognized across the ocean: he was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the NHL Draft. Additionally, his age and type of contract will allow Timur to play in all three teams of the "Torpedo" system: KHL, VHL, and MHL. We wish the player success in our system. Ilya Chefanov will get a chance to become a regular player for "Severstal."
