      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the popular service "Electronic Inspector," favored by entrepreneurs, has been updated and expanded, reports the press service of the governor and regional government. This online tool allows businesses to anonymously check their activities for compliance with legislation and identify violations before the arrival of regulatory authorities. According to Deputy Governor Yegor Polyakov, the portal has created 108 self-check scenarios across 47 types of control, seven of which were added in 2025—in the fields of additional education, advertising, and trade. The service offers users only those questions that are relevant to their specific business, saving time on studying all regulations. "The Electronic Inspector" is in high demand among businesses because it provides an opportunity to quickly check themselves and correct violations," noted Polyakov. According to the regional Ministry of Economic Development, by the beginning of 2026, 370 declarations of compliance have been issued, and entrepreneurs have conducted more than 200,000 self-checks. If the check shows compliance, the business can issue a declaration and post it on its website. This serves as proof of safety for consumers and the environment. The service is available to companies across Russia, with an average check time of less than 50 minutes. The "Electronic Inspector" project has entered the top 100 best practices for business according to the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and has been included in the "Smarteka" database. Efforts to support businesses are being carried out within the framework of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy."
