"The forestry dispatch service of the Nizhny Novgorod Region continues to ensure the preservation of the region's forest resources. In 2025, with the commissioning of the Federal State Information System of the Forest Complex (FGIS LK), the nature of the inquiries changed significantly. Most inquiries — 90 — were consultative in nature: citizens were actively interested in the operation of the FGIS LK, the Unified State Automated Information System and other digital services, which indicates a growing public engagement in forest use issues," the regional Ministry of Forestry said.
The service also continues to respond promptly to reports of violations. During the reporting period, 12 inquiries on forest use were recorded, 29 inquiries about fires in the forest fund, three about illegal dumps on forest fund lands, and 34 reports of possible illegal logging. For each report of a violation of forest legislation, the ministry's state forest inspectors immediately travel to the site to inspect the areas and take measures.
In addition, the forestry dispatch service of the Nizhny Novgorod Region operates around the clock to receive, process and record information on forest fires using video monitoring, notifies the public and firefighting services about fire hazards in forests and forest fires, and coordinates the work of forestry dispatch services in protecting forests from fires.
