January 1, 2026, 12:52 — Incidents. On New Year's Eve in Nizhny Novgorod, four minors were hospitalized with alcohol poisoning. This was reported by Aleksey Nikonov, editor-in-chief of the medical publication "Stacionar-press," on his Telegram channel, expressing bewilderment about what happened and questioning the degree of responsibility of adults.
The ages of the victims range from 3 to 16 years.
In addition, another girl was injured due to careless handling of pyrotechnics — a party popper struck her in the eye, resulting in a contusion of the eyeball.
In total, emergency teams brought 15 children to Nizhny Novgorod hospitals on the holiday night.
