26-year-old "Vesti" reporter found dead in the Nizhny Novgorod region

      21 November 2025 08:19 Incidents — A reporter for the regional GTRK, Artem Kuznetsov, has died in the Nizhny Novgorod region, RG reports citing the journalist’s friends.

      According to the search team "Rys," Artem stopped responding about two weeks ago. During that time volunteers and emergency service personnel actively searched for him, exploring various possible explanations for his disappearance. Recently the searchers reported that the young man was found dead.

      As Alexey Lebed, head of the "Formula" network broadcasting service in Nizhny Novgorod, said, Kuznetsov was only 26 years old. He worked on the program "Vesti-Zachet" and took part in one of Formula’s projects.

      The journalist’s acquaintances said he died after ending up under a train and sustaining fatal injuries. The exact circumstances of the tragedy are still being established.

      On 10 November we reported that investigators had opened a probe into the death of a pedestrian on the section between the Nizhny Novgorod and Nizhny Novgorod-Sortirovochny railway stations.
