The All-Russian school museums competition "Know to Remember" was held for the sixth time in 2025. The exhibition of MBOU "Gymnasium No. 38" from Dzerzhinsk was among the winners of the final federal stage. The museum "About the Motherland. About Courage. About Glory" received a First Degree Diploma.
"Working on the exhibition, the students immerse themselves not only in the history of the country, but also in personal history. They study the biographies of their ancestors: grandmothers, great-grandmothers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers who fought during the Great Patriotic War. And, of course, this approach develops in the students a sincere attitude toward our great Victory and gives them a sense of involvement," emphasized Dmitry Filipenko, head of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Executive Committee of the United Russia party.
For winning the regional stage the Dzerzhinsk museum received a prize certificate for 500 thousand rubles. Thanks to party support, students and teachers expanded their opportunities. Modern multimedia equipment became the foundation for generating new ideas and projects.
The laureate diploma of the All-Russian competition "Know to Remember" was presented to the local history museum of MAOU "Gaginskaya Secondary School" in the village of Kakino.
"It is a great honor that our exhibition was recognized at such a high level. Our students are truly passionate about this project. They eagerly uncover new details about their relatives and then tell their stories with shining eyes. Without exaggeration, working in the museum really captivates them," said Galina Agaeva, a teacher at MAOU "Gaginskaya Secondary School" in the village of Kakino.
"It is extremely important that the 'Know to Remember' competition covers all schools in the regions, both in cities and in small settlements. Children should face no barriers to perceiving and learning about our country's historical heritage. Pride in one's small homeland, in the feat of one's fellow countrymen, in the Great Victory — these are the feelings we must carry through generations. And thanks to such museum spaces in schools we continue our work to preserve historical memory!" emphasized Vadim Bulavinov, Member of the State Duma from Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and regional coordinator of the United Russia party project "Historical Memory."
Recall that the "Historical Memory" project is aimed at implementing the people's program of United Russia. The project's goal is the preservation of Russia's historical and cultural heritage, the promotion of patriotic education among youth, countering attempts to falsify history, and providing social support to participants and disabled veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
