Two branded trains were launched to mark the 40th anniversary of the Nizhny Novgorod Metro.

      Two updated branded train sets entered service on the lines to mark the 40th anniversary of the Nizhny Novgorod metro. One of them runs on the Avtozavodskaya line, the other on the Sormovsko-Meshcherskaya line. This was reported on his Telegram channel by the mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuriy Shalabaev.

      According to the city head, more than 130,000 people use the metro daily. He said the city is carrying out a gradual renewal of Soviet-era infrastructure to make the metro more modern.

      The updated trains have received not only a new appearance but also original audio design. Station announcements are now accompanied by recognizable musical fragments that create a festive atmosphere. Thus, the melody of the song "And Again the Battle Continues" is played at Leninskaya station, and a fragment of the well-known "Air March" is played at Chkalovskaya.

      Earlier it was reported that new turnstiles were installed at Zarechnaya metro station, and work continues there to install a covered pavilion at exit No. 4. Previously, the structures appeared at exits No. 1 and No. 2.

      It was also reported that the tunnel boring machine has covered a kilometer of the second tunnel between the stations under construction, Sennaya and Ploshchad Svobody.
