The Nizhny Novgorod Ministry of Health has suspended the head of the Kstovo Central District Hospital.

This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the regional ministry of health.

      As the ministry emphasized, this decision was made against the background of media reports about possible distortion of data on patients' completion of medical screenings (dispensarization) at the institution.

      The ministry noted that it has already sent appeals to law enforcement agencies. The department intends to conduct a comprehensive investigation and provide a legal assessment of the facts presented.

      The ministry stressed that it is ready to provide full assistance to the investigative authorities within the framework of the ongoing inquiry. If violations are confirmed, data on the medical screenings of residents of the Kstovo district will be brought into accordance with reality.

      The ministry paid special attention to protecting citizens' rights to receive preventive medical care. The department assured that access to such services will be ensured in full, and any attempts to undermine trust in the healthcare system will not go unnoticed.

      "We are confident that law enforcement agencies will promptly clarify the situation. Damage to people's trust in the significant work we carry out on prevention and early detection of diseases must not be allowed. We emphasize that the vast majority of our medical workers perform their duties with utmost conscientiousness, approaching assistance to every patient with great responsibility and dedication," the ministry commented.
