      14 November 2025 14:36 The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region warned residents of the region about adverse weather conditions over the next 24 hours.

      According to the Upper Volga UGMS, precipitation in the form of rain turning to sleet and snow is forecast for most districts of the region on 15 November. Icy road conditions are possible.

      Rescuers note that the deterioration in weather may lead to an increase in the number of road traffic accidents, traffic jams, disruptions to the work of utilities and road services, as well as possible interruptions to airport operations.

      EMERCOM recommends that residents, if possible, refrain from traveling and limit the use of private vehicles. If travel is necessary, motorists are advised to maintain a safe distance, avoid sudden maneuvers and reduce speed.

      It was also reported that Nizhny Novgorod power utility workers have stepped up operations due to storm-force winds expected on 14 November throughout the day.
