      A sharp strengthening of the southwest wind is expected in the Nizhny Novgorod Region — according to meteorologists' forecasts, gusts may reach 18 meters per second. Adverse weather conditions are expected throughout the day on November 14.

      Due to the approaching storm, the power workers of "Nizhnovenergo" have been placed on a heightened state of readiness, the company's press service reported.

      To quickly eliminate possible consequences of the bad weather, 168 emergency crews have been formed, comprising 701 specialists. The power company has 312 units of specialized equipment at its disposal.

      Special attention is being paid to ensuring uninterrupted power supply to social infrastructure facilities — hospitals, schools, kindergartens and other institutions critical for the population.
