      Around 150 goods and services from Nizhny Novgorod over the past five years have been awarded a federal-level quality mark following the results of the "100 Best Goods of Russia" competition. This was reported by the State Regional Center for Standardization, Metrology and Testing in the Nizhny Novgorod Region on World Quality Day, which is observed annually on the second Thursday of November. This year World Quality Day, observed under the auspices of the UN, is held under the motto: "Quality as a way of life."

      For 27 years the "100 Best Goods of Russia" competition has been the main platform for demonstrating the highest standards and sets the bar for the whole country. Over five years (from 2020 to 2024) 202 applications were submitted for 488 types of goods and services. As a result, 147 of them became laureates of the "100 Best Goods of Russia" competition.

      "Quality is one of the most important factors that determines whether a product or service will be in demand, commercially successful, and competitive in the market. The Nizhny Novgorod Region has something to be proud of: the goods and services of our enterprises annually rank among the best in the country, and such a wide sectoral range confirms the versatility and competitiveness of Nizhny Novgorod industry. The winners of this year's '100 Best Goods of Russia' competition will be announced shortly, and I have no doubt that Nizhny Novgorod participants will be among them," said Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin.

      Among the laureates of the "100 Best Goods of Russia" competition, 27 entered the "Golden Hundred". These include high-tech products for aviation and energy from JSC "Temp-Avia" and JSC "Transneft — Upper Volga", medical developments from LLC "Aikon Lab" and LLC "Center for Prosthetics and Orthopedics", metrological and testing services from the Federal Budgetary Institution "Nizhny Novgorod CSM", as well as food products from leaders of the agro-industrial complex and the famed products of LLC "Khokhloma".

      "In an era of growing consumer demands, the integrity of companies is transforming from a competitive advantage into a public value. The higher the business standards, the stronger the region's economy," emphasized Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Andrey Sanosyan.

      A regional "springboard" for reaching this level is the "Nizhny Novgorod Quality Mark" competition, approved by the regional government. Since 2020, 821 product and service names have been submitted, of which 273 became laureates.

      "Victory in our competition has three key advantages. First, it is a recognizable mark that signals reliability to the consumer. Second, it is a powerful tool for strengthening business reputation. And third, it is a direct pass to the '100 Best Goods of Russia' program," explained head of the Nizhny Novgorod CSM Alexey Aizenberg.

      The results of the Nizhny Novgorod Region's participation in the 2025 federal competition will be announced shortly. The growing activity of Nizhny Novgorod manufacturers and the increasing number of winners annually confirm the steady rise of quality standards in the region.
