      Hockey club "Torpedo" rose to second place in the KHL strength ranking after defeating Yaroslavl's "Lokomotiv". The Nizhny Novgorod side improved their position by seven places and now trail only Magnitogorsk's "Metallurg".

      The strength index is a calculated indicator that reflects teams' current form. It takes into account not only match results but also the level of opponents. For a win in regulation time, a team receives 25% of the defeated team's rating points; for a win in overtime or by shootout — 12.5%.

      In September "Torpedo" already held first place in this ranking.
