The IV All‑Russian Forum of Young State and Municipal Employees "GosStart" (12+), organized by the "Rosmolodezh.Forums" platform, opened on the grounds of the Nizhny Novgorod Fair in Nizhny Novgorod.

The opening took place with the participation of the head of Rosmolodezh, Grigory Gurov, who addressed the participants via videolink. Also present at the ceremony were the Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Volga Federal District, Oleg Mashkovtsev, and the Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Oleg Berkovich.

In his address, Gurov emphasized that the main task of civil servants is to work for the benefit of citizens and to effectively implement the priorities outlined by the country's leadership. "Our activities are aimed at carrying out the tasks set by the president, the government, governors and heads of municipalities," he noted.

Oleg Mashkovtsev recalled that the "GosStart" initiative was launched in 2022 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region and from the very beginning acquired the status of a nationwide project. "We strive to form a new generation of managers — active, competent, patriotic. It is important to bring together young people with non‑standard thinking and a readiness to develop the country," Mashkovtsev said.

In his speech, Oleg Berkovich shared a personal experience: it turned out that his career path in the public administration system became largely possible thanks to the personal support of Governor Gleb Nikitin. "At 33 I became a deputy governor. My mentor was Gleb Nikitin. I wish each of you to find a mentor like that and to build a strong team of like‑minded people; this is very important for future work," Berkovich said.

Immediately after the ceremonial part, a plenary session on "GosStart — a driver of civil service development" was held. The discussion covered a wide range of issues: from support measures for young specialists and grant programs to ethics of conduct in the civil service.

The forum will last three days; it is being carried out as part of the national project "Youth and Children." More than 1,000 young specialists from various regions of Russia will take part. Young civil servants will exchange best practices and will also develop projects aimed at the future of the civil service.

Earlier it was reported that 10 volunteer initiatives were implemented in the Nizhny Novgorod Region under the "Social Projects Accelerator" program, which aligns with the goals and objectives of the national project "Youth and Children."
