      Residents of Nizhny Novgorod have widely encountered a lack of mobile internet. Outages began on the morning of 11 November and continue to this day.

Internet abruptly disappeared in the center: around the Lyadov and Svoboda squares, on Vaneeva, Rodionova and Bolshaya Pokrovskaya streets, near the Nizhny Novgorod Fair and the Strelka.       The problems affected all major mobile operators.

      Disruptions are observed not only within the city limits. Users from other settlements in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast also complain of a complete lack of mobile internet. In addition, similar outages have been recorded in a number of other regions of Russia.

      The disruptions even affected access to applications from the so‑called "whitelist", which, as a rule, continue to function even under restrictions.

      The causes of the mass internet shutdown are still unknown.
