Residents of Nizhny Novgorod have widely encountered a lack of mobile internet. Outages began on the morning of 11 November and continue to this day.
Readers of NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" report problems accessing the network in many different districts of the city. Internet abruptly disappeared in the center: around the Lyadov and Svoboda squares, on Vaneeva, Rodionova and Bolshaya Pokrovskaya streets, near the Nizhny Novgorod Fair and the Strelka. Also on Gagarin Avenue, in Shcherbinki, in Verkhniye Pechery, and so on.
The problems affected all major mobile operators.
Disruptions are observed not only within the city limits. Users from other settlements in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast also complain of a complete lack of mobile internet. In addition, similar outages have been recorded in a number of other regions of Russia.
The disruptions even affected access to applications from the so‑called "whitelist", which, as a rule, continue to function even under restrictions.
The causes of the mass internet shutdown are still unknown.
Recall that, in case of such disruptions, a map of free Wi‑Fi spots was created for the region. It shows places where you can connect to the internet free of charge. The map is available for use even without a network connection.
