Dzerzhinsk Perinatal Center has launched an SMS notification service.

      The Dzerzhinsk Perinatal Center was the first in the region to introduce an SMS notification service about support measures available to families with children. Within 24 hours after the birth of a child each mother receives a message on her mobile phone with congratulations and information about the website osnovano.rf, where data on federal and regional payments and benefits are posted.

      The project is being implemented by the ANO "Institute for Demographic Development" with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The initiative is a continuation of the introduction of digital services into the regional healthcare system. Earlier, a similar system was launched at the Dzerzhinsk Emergency Hospital to inform relatives of intensive care patients.

      According to plans, the SMS notification system will be expanded to all maternity hospitals in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. As of July 1, 2025, information about new regional support measures is also provided in printed booklets. They contain information about the parental basic income (regional family capital) "Osnova" and the "Gift to the Newborn" certificate, as well as instructions on how to obtain them.

      As noted by the director of the Institute for Demographic Development, Evgeny Zhuravlyov, the notifications provide prompt access to up-to-date information and help in making timely decisions.

      Work to stabilize the demographic situation in the region is being carried out within the goals and objectives of the national "Family" project. By decree of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, the period from 2025 to 2030 has been declared the Five-Year Family Period in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
