The authorities of Nizhny Novgorod do not intend to start treating city streets with anti-icing agents for now. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by representatives of the Department of Transport and Road Management of the mayor’s office.
According to specialists, the decision to use special materials will be made depending on actual weather conditions.
"At the moment there is no need for this," the department explained.
Meanwhile, meteorologists warn that precipitation in the form of rain and wet snow is possible in Nizhny Novgorod in the coming days.
It was also reported that snow in Nizhny Novgorod may fall on 11 November.
