HR expert Muradyan explained why pensioners are increasingly finding part-time work.
20 October 2025 13:07 Society. Russian pensioners have begun to show increased interest in employment. According to Garri Muradyan, head of the School of Career Development and an HR expert, this phenomenon has several causes. It is not only a decline in real incomes, but also the elderly's desire for an active life.
"Retirement is a bit boring, you want some action, work, to be occupied with something, to get moving," Muradyan said in a conversation with 360.ru.
Employers, in turn, are also interested in attracting pensioners. They appreciate their emotional stability and ability for long-term cooperation.
According to the service "Avito Part-time Jobs", in the third quarter of the current year the number of part-time job offers for pensioners increased by 14%. The average income from part-time work is 54,038 rubles per month.
The greatest growth is observed among vacancies for pensioner drivers in taxi services: the number of shifts increased by 32%, and the average income amounted to 63,724 rubles per month for part-time employment.
In addition, pensioners increasingly find work as couriers (growth of 28%, average income — 56,095 rubles) and truck drivers (growth of 26%, average income — 113,586 rubles).
