Nearly 4,000 children's clubs were opened in the Moscow Region in 2025.
October 17, 2025 18:16 Society In the Moscow Region, the out-of-school education system is being actively developed. Governor Andrei Vorobyov noted that more than 41,000 sections and clubs operate in the region across various fields, including creativity, sports, foreign languages and modeling, 360.ru reports. More than 1.3 million schoolchildren and students attend these clubs. Supplementary education programs have been digitized for easier selection and enrollment.
The most popular have become social and humanitarian clubs (480,000 students, 37% of children aged 5 to 17), where Russian and English, literature, calligraphy and neurofitness are studied. Arts clubs are attended by 339,000 children, while physical education and sports sections — by 223,000. Military-patriotic clubs have become more popular, with attendance rising from 1,300 to more than 2,200.
For example, in Lobnya the "Patriot" club operates successfully, where children are taught shooting, assembly of automatic rifles, protection from radiation, chemical and biological hazards, as well as first aid. Excursions, meetings with veterans and events are also held here.
Natural science and technical clubs, the number of which has doubled since 2023, are very popular. A "High-Tech" club with modern equipment opened at the "Quantorium" in Balashikha, where children learn modeling, 3D graphics and the basics of design project development. The training is aimed at preparing future engineers and developing creative thinking.
