Nighttime repair work on the Myzinsky Bridge has intensified in Nizhny Novgorod.

      The second stage of the major overhaul of the Myzinsky overpass continues in Nizhny Novgorod. As reported by the city administration, the work is being carried out mainly at night. “We deliberately divided the work into three stages so as not to stop traffic,” said Ilya Kurapov, first deputy general director of MKU GUMMiD. He added that the beam replacement work was planned to be carried out over two nights, but was completed in one. According to him, next up are waterproofing, installation of drainage and lighting. Sergey Chernov, chief engineer of the contractor company, said that eight beams have been replaced during the second stage of the work. “The repair also includes the construction of the roadway structure with expansion joints, replacement of the railing, and restoration of the reinforcement of the embankment cones,” he said. Recall that the repair of roads in Nizhny Novgorod is being carried out under the new national project “Infrastructure for Life,” which was initiated by Vladimir Putin.
