The mayor's office will allocate 11 million rubles for the installation of traffic lights near the Ice Palace.

      October 4, 2025 08:00 Society In Nizhny Novgorod, two new traffic lights are planned to be installed near the Ice Palace. The corresponding draft contract has been posted on the official public procurement portal.

      One of the traffic light installations will be located at 11 Strelka Street, i.e., directly next to the Ice Palace. The second will be installed on Betankur Street, in the area of the pedestrian crossing that connects the shopping center and the stadium.

      The project is being financed by the Department of Economic Development and Investments of the city administration. 11.3 million rubles have been allocated for the implementation of the initiative.

      According to the documentation, the installation of both traffic lights is planned to be completed by the end of 2025.

      Earlier, NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" published new photos of the Ice Palace on the Strelka in Nizhny Novgorod. As of the beginning of October, the facility was 96% complete.

      It was also reported that another 10 traffic lights in Nizhny Novgorod are planned to be upgraded by the end of 2025.
