A woman from Nizhny Novgorod was accused of financing a banned organization.

      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the investigation of a criminal case against a local resident accused of providing funds to support the operations of an organization declared undesirable on the territory of Russia has been completed. This was reported by the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

      The investigation established that the woman was a member of this organization and knew about its prohibited activities. Despite this, she repeatedly transferred money to the account of the fundraiser’s organizer, ensuring the functioning of the structure.

      The illegal actions were suppressed by officers of the Investigative Committee with the participation of the regional FSB and the Center for Combating Extremism of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Investigators have collected a sufficient body of evidence. The criminal case has been sent to court with an approved indictment for consideration on the merits.
