On September 25, at a meeting of the Legislative Assembly of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, parliamentarians adopted a number of decisions to award the honorary title "Honored" to law enforcement officers, rescuers and firefighters. Three decrees were approved, by which 99 residents of Nizhny Novgorod were granted high regional honors for many years of conscientious work, professionalism and personal contribution to ensuring the safety of the population.

Deputies conferred the title "Honored Law Enforcement Officer of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast" on 69 employees of various agencies. Among the awardees are personnel from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD), the Investigative Committee, the National Guard (Rosgvardiya), the Federal Penitentiary Service (UFSIN), court bailiffs and others. This title recognizes their merits in strengthening the rule of law, maintaining public order, combating crime and training qualified personnel.

Fifteen specialists were awarded the title "Honored Rescuer of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast." They were honored for the courage and bravery shown in eliminating the consequences of emergencies, rescuing people, and for active work in preparing the population to act in emergency situations.

In addition, 15 people were awarded the title "Honored Firefighter of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast." These are professionals who have made a significant contribution to ensuring the region’s fire safety, demonstrated high professionalism in extinguishing fires and in training new personnel for the fire service.

"The conferring of these titles is a tribute of respect and deep gratitude to the people who stand guard over our peace and safety every day. Their work, often associated with life-threatening risk, requires not only the highest professionalism but also great personal courage," said Evgeny Lyulin, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.
