      The general contractor for the repair of the Borsky Bridge violated the terms of the contract by unilaterally restricting traffic on the old Volga Bridge. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the Main Directorate of Highways of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      According to the agency, the company LLC "DSK" closed traffic on the bridge on the night of September 9 without prior agreement with the client. This occurred despite repeated warnings about the inadmissibility of such actions.

      As a result of the sudden closure, a serious traffic jam formed on the morning approach to Nizhny Novgorod, causing dissatisfaction among drivers and passengers.

      The Main Directorate noted that the contractor's actions are being treated as a breach of obligations. Following the incident, the company was issued an official order, and an administrative fine will also be imposed.

      Earlier, the traffic pattern in the area of the Borsky Bridge was changed. It was also reported that with the start of the dacha season, traffic jams near the crossing have become regular.
