Sport. In Vyksa, the annual charity run (0+) called "Who’s Running? Everyone Runs!" took place for the eleventh time. The event was organized by the OMK-Participation Foundation with the support of the Vyksa Metallurgical Plant and the administration of the urban district.

The event was held on a sunny day on 13 September at Metallurg Stadium and became a true symbol of autumnal kindness. A total of 1,810 people took part in the run — from toddlers to pensioners.

Participants covered a 2.5 km route laid out through the city streets and park. Not only athletes and runners took part, but also mothers with baby strollers, elderly people with trekking poles, children and even participants with pets. All were united by the desire to help those who found themselves in difficult life circumstances.

During the event, 425,000 rubles were raised. All funds will be directed to support families in particular need. Among them is the family of Vyksa plant employee Ivan Shomin. His four-year-old daughter Masha was diagnosed with a tumor in the area of her left eye. The girl has already undergone surgery; ahead of her is a course of chemotherapy at the Blokhin Moscow Cancer Center.

The festive atmosphere at the event was created by musical performances, a lively warm-up and a colorful shower of streamers. Each participant received a commemorative medal made from recycled plastic, as well as water from the event partners — the companies Aqualife and Admiralskaya Water.

The organizers expressed gratitude to everyone who took part in the run, as well as to the volunteers and partners, including the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, the Lepse Palace of Culture and the Park of Culture and Recreation.

"Huge thanks to every participant in the run for their support. More and more people are becoming adherents of a culture of charity. It is precisely thanks to such responsive people that we can help children. May today become a symbol of kindness, mutual assistance and the unity of all compassionate hearts," said Tatiana Shibanova, head of projects at the OMK-Participation Foundation.
