More than 60 Nizhny Novgorod enterprises took part in the Supplier Day for the Russian nuclear industry.

      More than 60 Nizhny Novgorod companies took part in a Supplier Day for the Russian nuclear industry. The event was organized by the regional center “My Business” in accordance with the goals and objectives of the federal project “Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurship” of the national project “Efficient and Competitive Economy.”

      Potential customers included the Federal State Unitary Enterprise RFNC-VNIIEF (research and production center), JSC Technopark “Sarov” (implementation of scientific and technical projects) and other enterprises related to the Russian nuclear industry.

      “Enterprises of the nuclear industry are partners of the Nizhny Novgorod Region in various fields. More than three dozen enterprises of the industry are represented in the region, employing 33,000 residents of our region. For the first time we are holding this kind of sectoral Supplier Day in the year of the 80th anniversary of the nuclear industry. Leading organizations in this field took part in the event. Such interaction allowed potential suppliers and customers to meet in person and directly discuss prospects for cooperation,” said Maksim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      An exhibition of products by Nizhny Novgorod entrepreneurs was also organized at the event. Eighteen manufacturers presented their products: LLC Sovremennye Truboprovodnye Sistemy (pipeline systems), OJSC Krastsvetmet (engineering services), LLC Bolten (high-strength fasteners), LLC GlobalTest (vibration measuring equipment), LLC Kompaniya Avtomaksimum (installation and maintenance of tachographs), LLC N Sitek (mechanical parts machining services), LLC Nizhny Novgorod Plant of Thermal Insulation Materials (thermal insulation and fire protection materials based on basalt superfine fiber), LLC Novye Promyshlennye Tekhnologii (cable support systems), LLC Privody i Tekhnika (electric drives, control units, gearboxes), LLC Promavtomatika-Sarov (valve blocks and automation), LLC Rusgeosint (non-woven textile materials and products made from them), LLC Khandla Industries (insulating products for mechanical protection of wires), NPO Sarov-Volgogaz LLC (sensor manufacturing), JSC ZEO Energopotok (shut-off valves), LLC GTLab (IT, sensor manufacturing), LLC NPO Sistek (IT, new security and construction technologies), LLC Maxima Invest (metal product processing).

      Representatives of the regional Microcredit Company, the Industrial Development Fund and a guarantee organization took part in the event. They spoke about the state support measures operating in the region.

      Recall that in 2025 the Russian nuclear industry is celebrating its 80th anniversary. On 20 August 1945 the Special Committee for the Use of Atomic Energy was established — this date is considered the industry’s birthday. Over the past decades Soviet and Russian nuclear scientists and engineers have achieved outstanding results: in 1954 the world’s first nuclear power plant was launched in Obninsk; in 1959 the first nuclear icebreaker Lenin entered service; construction of dozens of nuclear power units began in the USSR and abroad. The industry continues to develop in the fields of energy, medicine, new materials, quantum technologies and space.

      Since the beginning of 2025 Supplier Days in the Nizhny Novgorod Region have been held in the fields of medicine, passenger transport and logistics, metallurgy, retail, as well as a Supplier Day for the industrial enterprises of Dzerzhinsk. In total, more than 430 Nizhny Novgorod entrepreneurs have taken part in the events since the start of the year.

      The national project “Efficient and Competitive Economy,” initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, is the main tool for forming a new growth model. It includes federal projects aimed at the development of small and medium-sized entrepreneurship, increasing labor productivity, boosting investment activity, low-carbon development, and developing the state system of statistics and forecasting. One of the main points of the national project “Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurship” was the creation of conditions for an easy start and comfortable business operations. Work to support entrepreneurs in this direction continues within the framework of the national project “Efficient and Competitive Economy.”
