Chainsaws have been sent to the special military operation.

      A resident of the Balakhna District had two chainsaws and two cutting torches confiscated by bailiffs for illegal tree felling. The property was handed over for the needs of the special military operation.

      The citizen was charged under Part 2 of Article 260 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Illegal felling of forest plantations). However, active repentance and compensation for the damage caused to nature became the reason for terminating the criminal case. Thus, the man was lucky enough to avoid punishment, but he failed to keep his property — the instruments of the crime. The court ordered the confiscation of two chainsaws and two cutting torches and their transfer to state ownership.

      The corresponding enforcement document was submitted for execution to the Balakhna District Office of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region. An officer of the agency initiated enforcement proceedings, established the location of the chainsaws and cutting torches, and seized the debtor’s property. In addition, the officer sent a request to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation proposing that the seized property be transferred for the needs of the special military operation. Representatives of the military department believed that these chainsaws and cutting torches would be a great help to fighters on the front line in carrying out assigned combat tasks.

      At present, the property has been handed over to a military representative under an acceptance-transfer act, and the enforcement proceedings have been closed as having been carried out in fact.
