       IncidentsFour former employees of a defense industry enterprise in Nizhny Novgorod have been found guilty of taking bribes, the information center of the Investigative Committee of Russia reports.

      It was established that from 2018 to 2024 the convicts received bribes from company directors for concluding contracts to supply material and technical assets to the enterprise. In total, more than 7 million rubles were handed over.

      Regional FSB operatives learned of this. The regional Investigative Committee opened five criminal cases under parts 2, 5 and 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — receiving a bribe in a significant, large and especially large amount.

      As a result, two were sentenced to 7 years in a general-regime penal colony with fines ranging from 1 million to 1.5 million rubles. The others were given suspended sentences of 3.5 and 5 years. The verdict was issued by the Dzerzhinsky City Court.

      According to the press service of the FSB Directorate for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the sentences have already come into legal force.

      Recall that in early August a case was opened in the Nizhny Novgorod Region over the theft of 250 million rubles related to a defense order. Five people became suspects in the criminal case.
