The demolition of a condemned wooden house on Chongarskaya Street was estimated at nearly 2 million rubles.

       Society. In Nizhny Novgorod, plans are underway to demolish a vacated condemned building at 40 Chongarskaya Street, building A. This is reported on the public procurement website.

      The customer is the administration of the Kanavinsky District. 1.9 million rubles have been allocated from the city budget for the work for 2025.

      The two-story wooden house was built in 1927 and was declared unsafe back in 2015. To date the building has been fully vacated.

      The demolition work is to be carried out by a contractor who will be selected following an auction. Applications for participation open on August 13, 2025 and will close on August 22. The winner will be determined on August 26.

      Under the terms of the contract, the contractor must complete the demolition within 35 calendar days from the day following the date of signing the contract.

      Earlier it was reported that the district bounded by Pravda, Chongarskaya and Mendeleeva streets will be redeveloped under a KRT agreement. The document was signed in 2023. On a plot of 1.84 hectares two multi-apartment residential buildings with built-in public facilities will be constructed. The developer is LLC "Specialized Developer New City."

      It was also reported that nearby, within the boundaries of October Revolution, July Days and Chongarskaya streets, a school for 730 pupils will be built.
