The Russian Federation government has instructed the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Construction, and the State Corporation "DOM.RF" to develop initiatives of the Federation Council aimed at increasing housing accessibility. The relevant task was assigned by the government following a meeting between Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and members of the upper house of parliament.
Special attention should be given to exploring the possibility of expanding preferential rental programs for young families.
Additionally, ministries and "DOM.RF" are to consider proposals for improving the mechanism of granting mortgage loans.
The deadline for preparing the joint report is November 1.
