The Nizhny Novgorod Personnel Center assisted 1,600 young job seekers in the first half of 2025.
The Nizhny Novgorod "Russia Works" Personnel Center helped 1,600 young applicants under age 35 with work experience ranging from 1 to 7 years in the first half of 2025. Career consultants assisted applicants in finding jobs at industrial and trading enterprises, in the housing and utilities sector, and educational institutions.
Available job offers can be browsed on the "Russia Works" portal, which currently hosts over 35,000 vacancies.
Starting in 2025, Russia launched the national project "Personnel," encompassing four federal initiatives: "Labor Market Management," "Active Employment Measures," "Education for the Labor Market," and "People of Labor."
More than 400 apartments purchased for orphans in the Nizhny Novgorod region since the beginning of the year.
Since the start of 2025, 439 apartments have been acquired in the Nizhny Novgorod region for orphans. The purchase of housing is conducted within the framework of the state program "State Support for Citizens in Providing Housing in the Nizhny Novgorod Region."
Overall, 532 housing units are planned to be purchased for orphans in 2025, including 169 apartments located in Nizhny Novgorod. To date, 83% of the target has been achieved. Housing for orphans is financed from regional and federal budgets. In 2025, funding for the program amounted to 2.3 billion rubles—24% more than last year.
Rural elder offices opened in Arzamas and Vadsky municipal districts.
The Chairman of the Council of Municipalities of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Alexander Shelokov, handed over computer equipment for the workplaces of rural elders in the village of Krasnoye in Arzamas District and in Annenkovsky Karyer in Vadsky District. The rural elder office is a well-equipped workstation that they can use regularly and free of charge for their activities. Local residents can also use the space to participate in e-voting.
Previously, a similar office was opened in the village of Kamenishchi in Buturlinsky District. Soon, offices will be opened in Bogorodsky, Volodarsky, Tonkinsky, Vorotynsky, Spassky, Borsky, Chkalovsky districts, and in Nizhny Novgorod itself.
The project "Trust and Help. Rural Elder Office" is implemented with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund.
The federal project "My Business" has launched in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The "My Business" federal project has started in the Nizhny Novgorod region, implemented by the SME Corporation, United Russia, and the business association "Support of Russia."
The goal of the project is to help SVO participants, war veterans, and their families adapt to civilian life, develop entrepreneurial skills, and realize their potential to start their own businesses.
Participants in "My Business," guided by mentors and experts, will go from idea to project launch. The training program covers all aspects of business management, from business plan development to tax accounting.
Participants will also learn about existing support measures for entrepreneurs in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
RusLacto agroholding will invest about 6 billion rubles in the development of Shakhunsky District.
RusLacto plans to invest around 6 billion rubles by 2030 to develop Shakhunsky District. The funds will go toward creating the "Northern Valley" agro-cluster. Projects include building new farms, modernizing the dairy plant, bringing unused land into use, acquiring agricultural machinery, establishing and supporting agro-classes, and upgrading the technical base of the agricultural college, which is the educational hub for the "Professional" program within the "Youth and Children" national project.
Additionally, a new residential microdistrict of 20 houses is planned. Currently, the first three houses are being constructed under the comprehensive rural development program. Infrastructure for agro-tourism is also being planned.
