The registration for the "It's a Family" contest has been extended until September 14.
Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region can apply to participate in the second season of the federal contest "It’s Family Time" until September 14 (initially applications were accepted until July 27) on the website: etoseseemnoe.rf. Organizer – ANO "Russia – Land of Opportunities." The aim of the contest is to create conditions for strengthening the family institution, promote family values in society by identifying and supporting families with active life positions interested in comprehensive self-development. The project focuses on strengthening intrafamily and intergenerational relations, creating a communication platform for exchanging experiences between families, facilitating their further development, and shaping family traditions through joint activities. The second season will be dedicated to Russia's cultural code and will enable members of different generations of Russian families to find interesting shared hobbies, revive the best family traditions, explore their family history, and bond closer. Family teams consisting of four or more members who are representatives of three or more generations are eligible to participate, such as children, parents (or legal guardians), grandparents, and other close relatives. At least one participant aged 5 to 17 (inclusive) must be part of the team at the end of the registration phase. The contest includes several stages: registration (creating a family account on the website), a remote phase, regional semi-finals, and a final. The remote phase is conducted online: teams record a video introduction, fill out questionnaires about their family’s history, traditions, interesting facts, and achievements, and complete thematic tasks (e.g., sports, creative, related to culture, history, or family traditions). Based on these results, a ranking will be compiled to determine which families advance to the semi-finals. The semi-finals will be held as in-person events for participants from different federal districts of Russia. In the final, the best families will compete for the main project prizes. During these in-person activities, besides engaging tasks, participants will enjoy educational and concert programs, meet with prominent figures, and attend master classes. The main prizes include 60 certificates for improving housing conditions for the winners and family trips for the finalists. The key principles of the contest are openness, objectivity, and transparency, guaranteed by the Advisory Council, which includes well-known public figures from arts and culture, sports, government, and society. Members of the council not only oversee compliance with contest rules and ensure fair judging but also award special prizes for the best performance in tasks. For example, in the first season, singer Sergey Zhukov invited the Sabich family from Krasnodar Krai for a family dinner as a reward for completing the "Zhukov's Recipe" task, and singer Dmitry Malikov held a piano lesson for the Ermolenkov family from Kemerovo for excelling in the "Our Song" task. More information about the contest is available on the official website: etoseseemnoe.rf.
