      Midfielder Mamadou Maiga has been appointed the new captain of FC Pari Nizhny Novgorod. This decision was made by the team’s coaching staff led by Aleksey Shpilevski on the eve of the 2025/26 season start.

      The 30-year-old Malian footballer has been playing for Nizhny Novgorod since 2022. During this time, he has played 64 matches and scored one goal.

      Previously, the team’s captain was Kirill Gotsuk, who left the club during the off-season after his contract expired.

      The vice-captains of Pari Nizhny Novgorod are goalkeeper Nikita Medvedev and midfielder Nikolay Kalinsky.
